Cameron Maybin returned from the DL for the Angels and collected three hits to go with a career-high four steals and the Astros lost to Los Angeles, 9-4.

Matt Shoemaker kept the Astros offense in check most of the night, pitching seven innings allowing four runs off seven hits. Astros starter Brad Peacock would last just three innings allowing four runs.

Astros top prospect Francis Martes would make his major league debut in relief, going 3 2/3 innings, allowing four runs off four hits with two strikeouts. Alex Bregman hit a two-run home run late to cut the deficit in half, but the Astros offense didn't have enough to rally.
