The Astros beat the Tigers on Tuesday night, 6-2 after another solid outing from Lance McCullers.
McCullers did not allow a run in five innings Tuesday night, extending his scoreless innings streak to 22.0 consecutive. That is the longest active scoreless innings streak in the Majors, and the longest by an Astros starting pitcher since Roy Oswalt posted a 32.0-inning streak in 2008.
Newly called up catcher Juan Centeno got the start and went 2-for-3 with a HR. Yuli Gurriel hit his fourth HR of the season. Jake Marisnick went 3-for-4 after getting his first start in nearly a week.
