Texans' Jadeveon Clowney Reportedly Out Until Training Camp

Following a knee surgery four months ago, Jadeveon Clowney is taking his time to work back to the practice field. With the Texans taking part in OTA's this week and next, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said they're taking it slow.

“I think he’s doing okay," said O'Brien. "He’s in there with the medical team, trying to get better. He’s in the meetings and things like that. I think he’s progressing.”

O'Brien was asked if Clowney has practiced at all during OTA's and he said he has not. When asked for a time table for Clowney's return, he said likely sometime in the coming weeks.

“I don’t know," said O'Brien. "I wouldn’t say he’ll be in any OTA’s, but probably training camp.”

Clowney is entering his fifth NFL season and is due a $12 million club option, though he will be looking for a long-term deal very soon.
