Hear the Coogs in the Sweet 16 Tonight on KPRC 950AM

As the Houston Cougars take on the Kentucky Wildcats tonight in the Sweet 16, a reminder that you can hear all of the action on our home for Cougar athletics, KPRC 950AM!! The pregame coverage starts at 8:45p.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –The University of Houston Men's Basketball program will compete in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 for the first time in 35 years when it meets No. 7/7 Kentucky at 9 p.m., Friday, inside the Sprint Center. No. 11/9 Houston earned its ticket to the Tournament's second weekend following a pair of wins over Georgia State and Ohio State in Tulsa. With Sunday's win against the Buckeyes, the Cougars set a school single-season record with their 33rd victory, topping the 1982-83 team's 32 victories.

Against the Buckeyes, senior guard Corey Davis Jr.led the way for Houston with 21 points and added six rebounds with two assists and three steals. Senior point guard Galen Robinson Jr.added 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting with three rebounds, a game-high five assist and a Houston NCAA Tournament record six steals.
