Astros Get First Look at Ohtani Tonight on 790

The Houston Astros will face Japanese star pitcher Shohei Ohtani on Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park, their first look at the prized offseason acquisition for the Angels who is 2-1 with a 3.60 ERA.

The dual-threat Ohtani typically slides into the lineup as a DH on days he's not pitching, but doesn't hit on the day before or after he pitches. Because of that, the Astros will not see him as a hitter in this current series.

As a pitcher, Ohtani has 19 strikeouts on the season, however that's tied for just 40th among AL strikeouts leaders. Ohtani will oppose Astros starter Charlie Morton who ranks 11th in the AL in strikeouts with 33 this season.
